.:. The Marin Project

The Marin Project is actively investigating the connection between wireless technologies which generate radio-frequency (RF) fields (cell phones, personal digital assistants, blue tooth headsets, baby monitors, microwave ovens, cell towers, WiFi, WiMax) and the prevalence of fast growing diseases in Marin County such as breast cancer, leukemia, lymphoma, melanoma, prostate cancer, miscarriage, birth defects, EMF sensitivities, Autism, depression, and Alzheimer’s.

Purpose and Goals:

  1. Identify and investigate the extent of health impacts from wireless technologies and the possible correlation with high rates of cancers and neurological conditions within Marin County.
  2. Inform Marin residents of the potential health hazards from radio-frequency (RF) fields and microwaves, especially women and children, who may be most at risk. Alert our Congressional and State of California leaders and Marin Board of Supervisors of our concerns.
  3. Advocate for State and Federally-funded studies, especially those which focus on health impacts brought about by new, continuous and multi-frequency wave technologies.
.:. Action: How you can help!
  • Take the Health Survey: please answer this confidential online health survey of Marin residents by the Marin Project. Surveys represent the first crucial step in identifying the link between radio-waves from wireless technologies and our health.
  • Notify our congresswomen and state and local offices: Please contact our congressional representatives, state representatives and Marin County Board of Supervisors to advocate for:

    1. Adopting the precautionary principle in Marin County; and
    2. Researching the health impacts new wireless technologies: convince the Federal Government to resume studies on the health impacts of RF-fields and microwave radiation.
